Issue #4 - Technology makes great people better

People don't see the blood, sweat, and tears, only the end result.

“Technology will not replace great coaches, but technology in the hands of great coaches can be transformational.”

- Tony Robbins

The intersection of sports and technology is electrifying. Whether it’s improving player performance, enhancing fan engagement, or reshaping how teams and organizations operate, sports tech is becoming the MVP behind the scenes.

From AI-driven analytics to immersive fan experiences, the industry is being transformed faster than ever. But like any revolution, it’s not all smooth sailing. Teams, leagues, and tech providers are figuring out what works, what doesn’t, and what’s worth the investment.

The Challenges of Sports Tech Adoption

While tech opens doors, it also introduces complexity. Teams and venues face two critical challenges:

  1. Proof of Value: How does the tech tangibly improve player performance, fan experience, or revenue?

  2. Implementation: How can it integrate into a fast-moving sports environment with minimal disruption?

What works for one organization may not work for another. The key is customizing the solution and embracing iterative development—a true crawl, walk, run approach.
